Meet the Founder
At 33 years old, with a background in biochemistry and a deep love for storytelling, I created The Adventures of Coucou and Jah to give my children a world where they could truly see themselves. As a homeschooling mother of two—my vibrant daughter Coucou and two spirited sons, Jah and Baba—I’ve always been passionate about nurturing curiosity, empathy, and emotional resilience.
I believe in raising children who are confident enough to ask “why,” and kind enough to listen. While I value respect, I also want my children to feel empowered to express their thoughts, even when they challenge the status quo—as long as they do it with heart.
This show was born out of our everyday moments—the spilled crayons, the big feelings, the giggles before bedtime—and reflects the way I help my children navigate the world around them. With the loving support of my husband, who shares in the joy and wonder of raising little ones, The Adventures of Coucou and Jah is truly a family journey.
When I’m not dreaming up stories or chasing toddler giggles, you’ll find me swimming, traveling, or soaking up life’s simple magic. This project is my love letter to families like ours—who are learning, growing, and feeling deeply, one heartfelt adventure at a time.

Why I Started The Series
Why I Started
The Adventure of Coucou and Jah
I created The Adventure of Coucou and Jah out of love—pure, deep, unconditional love for my children. As a mother of three, every day I’m reminded of how powerful it is to let your children know: You are loved. Just as you are.
Coucou, Jah, and Baba are the heart behind this show. They are curious, joyful, bold, and full of big emotions. And in our home, love is the foundation for everything—how we speak, how we learn, how we grow. I wanted to build a world where they could see themselves, hear their voices, and feel their worth. A world that says you matter, you are beautiful, and you are deeply loved.
I started this journey because I want my children—and all Black children—to know they are special. Even when the media fails to show their light, I want them to know their brilliance cannot be dimmed. I want them to feel seen and celebrated. I want them to lead with kindness, curiosity, and most of all… with love.
At its heart, this show is a reflection of how I guide my children through life’s everyday ups and downs—how we explore emotions, work through challenges, and lean into joy together. It’s the way I homeschool, parent, and pour myself into the little details of our daily life. And now, it’s a gift I hope to share with families everywhere.
Because when children grow up knowing they are loved, they learn how to love others. And in the end, that’s what the world needs most.

What I Hope Children Take Away
More than anything, I want all children—especially Black children—to know they are brilliant, powerful, and full of potential. I hope The Adventure of Coucou and Jah helps them find their voice, express their feelings, and demonstrate love in all they do.
By learning to understand and manage their emotions, I believe children can grow into strong, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals—capable of unlocking every bit of the greatness within them.
I want them to know that love isn’t just something we receive—it’s something we give, something we live by, and something that makes the world a better place. And no matter what messages they may see in the world, they are worthy, seen, and so deeply loved.
A Message for Parents
Dear Parents & Caregivers
As a mother myself, I know the weight and wonder of raising children in today’s world. I created The Adventure of Coucou and Jah not just as entertainment, but as a loving tool—for families like ours who are trying to raise kind, confident, emotionally intelligent children.
This show reflects the same lessons I strive to teach my own little ones every day: that their voices matter, their feelings are valid, and love—real, patient, empathetic love—is always the answer. I want my children, and yours, to grow up unafraid to ask questions, to embrace their uniqueness, and to treat others with care and respect.
In a world that sometimes rushes past the emotional needs of our children, The Adventure of Coucou and Jah offers a gentle pause. A chance to slow down, connect, and remind our little ones (and ourselves) that how we love, listen, and lead—matters deeply.
Thank you for trusting me with your family’s screen time. I hope this show sparks meaningful conversations, laughter, and plenty of heartfelt moments in your home.
With gratitude and love,
Cassandra
