In this century technology appeals to kids. if you try to teach toddlers their ABC’s, colors or numbers, they will not be interested or focus. However, if you allow them to play with a learning app they wont want to stop playing.
It is best to replace typical screen time, such as watching cartoons, with interactive educational apps that may help promote early skills in their child. however try to avoid over use of screen time. Screen time and active time should be some what equivalent.
Unfortunately Not every child has access to technology at home. Using educational apps can help them learn technology in addition to the skill the app is designed to teach. My 2 year old daughter thought me how to take screen shot with an Ipad.
